Clam Soup Recipe So Easy! (and Affordable)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg clams halaan
  • 1 piece Pechay or bok choy
  • 1 piece onion medium sized
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 piece ginger thumb size
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 500 mL water
  • 2 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  1. Clean the clams by soaking in water for 3-5 hours. The clams will naturally spit out the sands that they have collected.

  2. Heat the pan and put some oil. Saute the garlic, onion and ginger. Add the clams.

  3. Pour in the water. Cover and let it boil for 2 min. The clams will start to open and it means that they are cooked.

  4. Add the pechay. Season with salt and pepper. Add a bit of sugar just to enhance the taste. Cover and let it boil for another 2 mins.
