- 300 grams bangus (rub salt and set aside for 30 mins)
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 medium size onion
- 3 tbsp vinegar
- 1 thumb size ginger
- 1 pc green chili
- 200mL water
- 1 tsp course black pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
1. Combine garlic, onion, pepper and ginger in a pot. Pour in the water then put the fish. Cover and let it boil for 2 mins.
2. Season with salt then add the vinegar and green chili. Add a bit of sugar to enhance the taste. Do not stir the mixture. Just cover and let the vinegar to cook off so it will not have the unpleasant acidic taste. Simmer for 15-20 mins to reduce the liquid.
3. Serve with rice. Enjoy!
