Jollibee Amazing Aloha
I know everyone of us heard of Jollibee Amazing Aloha. Have you tried this succulent burger with pineapple slice and crispy bacon? Hmm.. Even the thoughts of it makes me hungry.
If Jollibee is not within your reach, no worries. Here's our version of Amazing Aloha that is definitely close to the real thing!
- 300 grams beef
- 1 medium onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- hamburger buns
- honey mustard dressing
- pineapple slices
Mix the beef, onion, salt and pepper. Mix everything together until all the ingredients are well combined.
Mold the patty by forming a round shape. Then flatten it with around half inch thick.
Put a dent in the middle of the patty to prevent from bulging. Chill the patties in the fridge for 30 mins to help retain its shape
Once the patties are ready, proceed to cooking. Put a small amount of oil in the pan and once the oil is hot enough, carefully place the patties. Sear for 3-4 mins each side.
Fry also the bacon. Im not putting any oil when frying the bacon because it will render its own fat.
Once the bacon are turning golden brown, remove from the pan and place in paper towel to drain some of the excess oil.
Once the patty and bacon are cooked, assemble the burger.
Slice the burger bun, Put mustard on the bottom bun. Followed by the patty, cheese, sliced pineapple, 2 slices of bacon, lettuce and lastly the top bun drizzled again with honey mustard.
Partner with fries and enjoy your DIY Jollibee Amazing Aloha!
