Chicken Cordon Bleu
- 500 grams Chicken breast
- salt and pepper
- 4 pcs ham
- 4 sticks of cheese
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
First slice the chicken breast. Pound the chicken breast to make it thinner.
Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
Arrange the ham and cheese on top of the chicken.
Carefully roll the meat securing inside the ham and cheese. Wrap in a cling wrap, tightening each side and making sure the meat is compact.
Keep in the fridge for 30mins. This will help to retain its shape.
Unwrap the condon bleu. the next step is to roll it in flour, egg and bread crumbs.
Heat oil in the pan enough for deep frying. Use low to medium heat.
To check if the oil is ready, sprinkle some bread crumbs in the oil, its ready if it sizzle. Fry the cordon bleu for 5-6 mins each side or until golden brown.
