Chicken Tinola is a Filipino main dish favorite especially during cold weather. This soupy dish is jam packed with nutrients coming from the chicken and veggies. It is also very easy to prepare. Watch the video below for detailed instructions. Enjoy!
- 1 medium sized onion sliced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 thumb size ginger julienned
- Papaya sliced
- Kangkong (you can also use malunggay)
- 500 grams chicken
- Salt and pepper to taste
Saute garlic, onion and ginger.
Add the chicken. Let it simmer for 10 mins in low to medium heat. This will release the flavours of the chicken.
Add 2 cups of water. Then add the papaya. Simmer for 15 mins or until the papaya is cooked.
Season with salt and pepper.
Lastly, add the kangkong. Simmer for another 1 min.
