This Buttered Shrimp Recipe is very easy to cook and can be done in 10 mins. Some recipe suggest to use soda as a sweetener but I prefer not too as it makes the dish too watery. Buttered Garlic Shrimp

  • 350 grams medium size Shrimp
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 ½ tbsp sugar
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper


  1. Melt the butter in a pan. Add in the garlic. Wait until the garlic is fragrant before adding the shrimp.
  2. Add the shrimp.
  3. Season with sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix for 3 mins or until all the shrimp turned orange and curled into a C shape. Do not overcooked the shrimp as the shell will be hard to peel and the meat will be tough. Medium size shrimp can cook in 3 mins while large shrimps in 7mins. Enjoy!
