Lumpiang Shanghai is a Filipino-style spring roll made of ground pork, chicken or beef filling wrapped in thin crepes called lumpia wrappers.
The meat-stuffed lumpia is rolled into a thin cylindrical shape, cut into bite-size lengths and deep-fried to golden perfection. In our case Air Fried which is a lot healthier because it reduces the oil within the dish.
- 250 grams pork minced
- 1 medium size onion minced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 carrot cut into small cubes
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 pc egg
Mix everything together until all the ingredients are well combined
Place spoonful of puto mixture in lumpia wrapper
Wrap nicely. 🙂
Lightly brush each lumpiang shanghai with oil for extra crunch
Place the lumpiang shanghai in air fryer basket
Set the temperature to 200C and the timer to 12mins
And wala! After 12mins mins our lumpia is nicely cooked!
