Pork Cordon Bleu

Pork Cordon Bleu

  • 400 grams pork loin or lomo
  • 4 pcs cheese
  • 4 pc ham
  • 1/2 cup flour all purpose
  • 2 pcs eggs
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper


  • 1 cup fresh milk
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 cube beef cube
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter


Preparing the Cordon Bleu

  1. First, season the meat with salt and pepper
  2. Before we assemble the cordon bleu

  3. Pound the pork loin to make it thinner and further tenderize the meat
  4. Then arrange the ham and cheese
  5. Carefully roll the meat securing inside the ham and cheese
  6. Wrap in a cling wrap, tightening each side and making sure the meat is compact.
  7. Do the same on the rest of the meat
  8. We were able to make 4 condon bleu rolls in 400 grams pork loin. Chill this in the fridge for 30 mins. This will hep to retain its form

Cooking the Gravy

  1. While chilling the meat, we can start to make our gravy.
  2. Melth the butter in a small pot in low medium heat
  3. Then add the flour and Stir continuosly untill it is fully dissolve
  4. Add the beef cube
  5. followed by 1 cup of milk
  6. Continue to stir until the beeef cube is dissolve
  7. Add 1/2 cup of water, soy sauce and pepper and bring to a slight boil until the sauce thickens
  8. Continue to simmer for 5 mins until the sauce thickens
  9. Give it a taste and add some salt if necessary

Battering the Cordon Bleu

  1. Unwrap the condon bleu. the next step is to roll it in flour, egg and bread crumbs.
  2. Im using my left hand for the flour and my right hand for the bread crumbs. This is a less messy way to do this.

Cooking the Cordon Bleu

  1. Put oil in the pan enough for deep frying and set the heat in low to medium
  2. Once the oil is hot enough, carefully place the cordon bleu and cook each side for 4-5 mins until golden brown
