Sinigang na Hipon with Miso

This sinigang recipe uses miso paste which thickens the soup and adds a sour zing to the dish it also enhances the texture and taste. It added a new look and aroma to our beloved sinigang dish.

 

 

Sinigang na hipon sa Miso

Ingredients

  • 400 grams shrimp
  • 2 tbsp white miso paste
  • 1 large tomato cut and seeds remove
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 bunch kangkong
  • piece Sinigang mix
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil 3 cups of water then dissolve the miso paste

  2. Add the tomato and onion
  3. Bring to boil in medium heat until the tomato is soft
  4. Add the green chili
  5. Let it simmer for 1 min
  6. Add the shrimp
  7. Add the sinigang mix. I add around 1 1/2 tbsp
  8. You can adjust depending on your preferred sourness
  9. Season with salt
  10. Let it simmer for 2 min
  11. Finally add the kangkong and cook for another 1 min
